Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent practical experience.
A portfolio of product design projects, and experience leading consumer user centric projects.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience in leading and defining design process for high-quality mobile consumer products.
Knowledge in the relevant design and prototyping tools.

In an Interaction Designer role, you’ll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for billions of people around the world—from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.Waze R&D is all about teamwork. The most innovative developers and designers work together in small groups to build products that are used by millions. Engineers work side by side with Product and UX in a fast, creative atmosphere with minimal documentation. Our team members are self-sufficient and problem solvers. Execute all visual design stages from conceptualization to final hand-off to the Engineering team.
Collaborate with the Product Management team and Engineering team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
Gauge the usability of new and existing features and make constructive suggestions for change.
Develop knowledge of the highly-engaged community. Communicate with users, get their feedback, and listen to their needs while still considering UX.
